It is possible to replace the EEE PC's Celeron-M CPU with a slightly more performant Pentium-M, both from the ULV (Ultra Low Voltage) series.
It requires some fine soldering work and doesn't costs too much, however you void the guarrantee and a lot can go wrong.
You won't notice the performance improvement. It is a nice electronics excercise however it doesn't pay back in term of performance.
